HEALTHY LYMPHATIC SYSTEM

functions of lymphatic system

It is very critical for our body to have a healthy Lymphatic system.  Here are the four main reasons why our life depends on it.

Balanced and maintain fluid

The lymphatic system transports fluid (lymph) and removes protein molecules from interstitium (tissue space) back into the cardiovascular system, thus preventing  fluid accumulation (edema) in the tissues.

ABSORBS FAT, PROTEIN AND VITAMINS

The lymphatic system absorbs then transport proteins, fat and vitamins from small intestine into the thoracic duct and enter into the left subclavian vein.

fight off infection and disease

The lymphatic system provides immune surveillance by recognizing and responding to foreign cells, microbes, viruses, bacteria, and cancer cells

removes waste

The lymphatic system removes metabolic waste, toxins, and cellular debris from the tissues.

Discover MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE THERAPY (mld)

manual lymphatic drainage therapy (mld)

The Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (MLD) is the gentle hand techniques which promotes the natural movement of lymph and interstitial fluid back to cardiovascular system.  In general, the MLD improves the lymph capillary uptake, increase of Lymphangion activity, and promote a parasympathetic response and analgesic effect.

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) can be highly beneficial for various medical conditions. While it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional before pursuing any specific treatment, MLD is known to be effective for the following conditions:

Experience Wellness with Lymphatic Therapy

About Me

Since 2004, I’ve been expanding my practice of holistic healing through a variety of modalities. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) has been a big part of my practice. Our body’s daily health and healing processes largely depend on the Lymphatic Drainage System. At the start of my twenty-year practice, my very first post-surgery client came to me with pain, swelling, numbness, and bloating around her abdominal area, as well as thickening of scar tissue from an abdominoplasty.

I treated her with a combination of modalities, primarily MLD therapy, along with Lypossage, Thai Massage, Swedish Massage, and Myofascial Release. After just 2 months and 20 sessions, her pain was gone, all other symptoms had disappeared, most of the nerve numbness had subsided, and the scar tissue was barely visible. Most importantly, she looked great! She could finally show off her new size 8 figure, down from a size 18 before her surgery.

Since then, I have been expediting the healing process for countless patients! It’s my daily joy and honor, and truly my life’s calling. As of 2019, the majority of my clients are post-surgery patients seeking MLD massage, referred to me by their surgeons.
